SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Plug the electrical cord into a certified electrical outlet with a corresponding voltage rating as listed on the machine model labels. Units with two cords must be plugged into outlets on individual branch circuits.

PREPARATION

1. Set unit on a flat surface.
2. Position unit near the power outlet. Avoid the use of extension cords.
3. Clean the unit thoroughly before use.

• Refer to the product tag (serial plate) on the back of the unit for voltage and wattage requirements. Be sure to plug the unit into an outlet with sufficient power.

SEASONING THE PLATE

1. Before using it for the first time, the cooking surface needs to be seasoned. This will create a ‘non-stick’ surface on the hot plate.
2. Ensure that the cooking surface is clean.
3. Clean the surface with a soft cloth or sponge, or wipe with a wet cloth.
4. Connect the appliance to the main power supply.
5. Set the thermostat to 250°C and turn the appliance ON. The power indicator light will turn on.
6. Once the appliance reaches 250°C, the power indicator light will turn off. The built-in-indicator light lets you know when the electric plate is at the perfect crepe making temperature. While the crepe maker is warming up, the indicator light stays lit. Once the desired temperature is reached, the light is will shut off and you can begin cooking.
7. The appliance is now ready to use. Repeat the process as many times throughout the lifetime of the appliance.

STARTUP

1. Wash and dry thoroughly before using.
2. Turn the power switch to ON.
3. Cover the whole Pre Heat plate with salt and let it be there for 3-5 minutes with the temperature at 250°C . First, see the dot on the panel, then rotate the knob the dot which will match 250°C. From 60°C and up a green light will appear. When the plate has received enough heat, the green light will then turn off. This is to inform you that the plate is hot enough, after this you can choose your desired temperature.
4. After that remove the salt and clean the plate with a soft cloth.
5. Use the temperature knob on the thermostat to choose the desired temperature.
6. DO NOT use metal or abrasive object cleaners on the coated Teflon.
7. Use plastic spatula to prevent serious damage to the plate. Do not use a sharp object to avoid damaging the non-stick coated surface.
